Favorite MN sport team and why?

My favorite MN sports team is probably our NFL team the Vikings because it really is the only sport I watch and I also want to see how our state is doing in football.

Favorite lake to fish, biggest fish?

There is a pond outside of Rolag, MN where I caught a tiny little sunfish.

Favorite hotdish:

There is nothing much better than a good tater tot hotdish.

Favorite candy bar:

My favorite candy bar is a Snickers they are just so good frozen or just plain. They are also just so melty in your mouth and are just amazing to eat.

Favorite rodeo event and why:

I love the event brake away.  It is the event I can do well in. I have the privilege to break away rope in Des Moines, Iowa for the national Jr. high rodeo competition.

Favorite NFR moment from last year:

JD Struxness, steer wrestling.  His final run had me on the edge of my seat.  He turned his steer in 3.6 for the win. What impressed me most was watching the comradery between the steer wrestlers.  Competing for the prize, but sharing a horse and celebrating each other’s runs really impressed me.

JD is a MNHSRA alumni.  He came to the Jr. high finals last year to coach the chute doggers and steer wrestlers.  The arena was a muddy mess, but that did not stop them.  Here is a picture of JD coaching my brother.
